My Philosophy
Every project, no matter how big or small, starts with an objective, a purpose, if you will, for otherwise there would be no reason for it to exist in the first place…
Every project, no matter how big or small, starts with an objective, a purpose, if you will, for otherwise there would be no reason for it to exist in the first place…
A project is brought into being for the sole purpose of fixing a problem, and no matter how you choose to see it, a project’s purpose demands, by virtue of its very nature, a certain degree of stillness and immutability, of solid foundations within lands of uncertainty.
The square is such a foundation. It represents rules, guidelines, parameters, objectives, quotas, logic, and objectivity. It implies structure and predictability, a building block for what will one day become a mighty monument to stand the test of time.
Take heed though, for what is built to keep uncertainty out also locks possibility in, and sooner or later, you may find that what was once an undeniable reality is now a box of illusion and fantasy.

Take heed though, for the sun will continue to shine even when the lands are scorched, and what runs in circles will neither create what the world needs nor expunge what the world must.

I believe with all my heart that this area in the middle, this conjunction of human polarities is what ultimately breathes life into a project and divorces it from inconsequentiality. This is my philosophy, and this is what I want all of my projects to become. Do you want that as well?
